Welcome to Illusions Netball Club
Based in Midvale, Western Australia, Illusions Netball Club is a proud community-driven club dedicated to developing young athletes, fostering teamwork, and promoting a love for netball in a fun, inclusive, and competitive environment. We cater to players of all skill levels — from beginners in NetSetGO through to experienced players in our junior and senior teams. Our focus is not just on winning, but on player development, community engagement, and encouraging healthy, active lifestyles. NetSetGO Program (Ages 5–10): Introductory netball program teaching basic skills through fun and active games. Junior Competition Teams (U11–U17): Team placements based on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Senior Teams: Competitive teams playing in structured leagues, with a focus on both performance and community spirit. Pathways to Elite Netball: Our players have gone on to represent at WANL, State levels, West Coast Fever and even the Australian Diamonds. Accredited Coaches & Umpires: Our volunteers are passionate and qualified, helping every player reach their potential.

Most people know me as Deb. I’ve spent a great deal of my adult life volunteering on committees both within and outside sport. I’ve played, coached and umpired netball for many years, specifically for SDNA and Illusions for the past 10 years. My motivation is to foster the enjoyment of the game for all.

Social media guru by day, paramedic by night! I’ve been a member of seniors 2 for 3 years and bring that same fire to running our club’s socials. Proud dog mum to Rufus and always up for a DIY challenge on the side.

Having played netball for over 30 years, I’ve spent the last 10 coaching juniors. I hold a Development accreditation and am working towards my Intermediate. I’ve coached at club, development, and adult levels, including ADF WA. Outside of netball, I enjoy time with my husband and working on our property.
